IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
In the March 2021 budget, the UK Government confirmed upcoming changes to the businesses and individuals entitled to use rebated gas oil (red diesel) and rebated biofuels.
The changes restrict the entitlement to use red diesel and rebated biofuels from 1 April 2022 to some sectors and applications.
There are a number of exemptions to these changes including agriculture, horticulture and non-commercial heating. Red diesel usage for other purposes, which includes manufacturing, logistics, and construction will no longer be allowed. See section “Impact on business including civil society organisations” using the above link for more details.
The Isle of Man Government has confirmed that these changes will also apply on the Isle of Man. As such, from 1 April 2022 Manx Petroleum Limited will no longer be able to supply red diesel for non-exempt purposes.
